Mrs. Adam Gochenour died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Maher, last Thursday after an illness of several months duration.

Mrs. Gochenour was taken ill soon after July 4th, and despite the efforts of medical skill she was never able to leave her bed and suffered patiently until death came to her relief. The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Maher Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. A. E. Marsh of the Episcopal Church officiating.

Mary J. Burgess was born December 6, 1842, in York County, Pa., and was married to Adam Gochenour October 23, 1862, coming to Blair with her husband in 1883. The daughters are Mrs. Sherlot Ireland, Tekamah, Mrs. Della Trimble, Kadoka, S. D., Mrs. John Maher, Mrs. John Dixon, Mrs. Gilbert Hines and Mrs. U. G. Garner, all of Blair.
