Adela Goedeker Died September 25

Adela Bergmann Goedeker was born February 24, 1891, at Washington, Nebraska. She passed away suddenly at home Sunday morning, September 25, at the age of 75 years.

Mrs. Goedeker was born on the farm where she and her husband were living. They were united in marriage on January 23, 1918, at this same farm home. They spent their years together farming in Washington and Douglas counties.

Three children were born to this union.

Mrs. Goedeker is survived by her husband Ed; two daughters: Marie (Mrs. Peter C. Masterton) and Alda (Mrs. Daniel Ratkovic); one son, Lawrence Goedeker all of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Maggie Bergmann of Washington; two grandsons, Stanley and Bruce Masterton; two granddaughters, Janet Ratkovic and Sherri Goedeker; one great-granddaughter, Crystal Masterton; other relatives and many friends.

Services were held September 27 at the Washington Community Church in Washington. The committal was held at the Flower Hill Cemetery. Hadan Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Glenn Gottsch, William Petersen, Carsen Petersen, Eric Knudsen, Bertel Bertelsen and Elmer Bertelsen.
