Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Her body was donated to the University of Nebraska.

Clarice J. Andersen was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Blair to Jens and Anna Andersen.

She graduated from Bennington High School and attended the University of Nebraska. She graduated from Dana College.

She worked as a Douglas County elementary teacher and a legal secretary. She also worked in the office of the Washington County superintendent of schools for a number of years. She also served as interim superintendent.

She then served as the Blair Schools' Board of Education secretary until she retired.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Nebraska Education Association School Secretaries and the Blair Genealogy Association.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Lorene Andersen of Washington; one sister and brother-in-law, Verda and Clifford Swanson of Des Moines, Iowa; four nephews, Glen, Wayne, Marvin and Wesley Andersen; two nieces, Maurya Smith and Amy Parker; and eight great-nephews and great-nieces.

Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or to Prairie View Cemetery.
