Frank (Casey) Jones, 85, of Bemidji, Minn., died Nov. 4, 1998, at North County Hospital.

Services were Nov. 10, 1998, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Rev Gary Danielson officiated the service. Military honors were provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1260 of Bemidji.

Mr. Jones was raised in the Burt and Washington Counties area and moved to Blair upon retirement.

Mr. Jones was born Sept. 14, 1913 in Russ, Mo. to Orville and Cora (Rounds) Jones. He and his family moved to Burt County at the age of 5.

Mr. Jones served in the Navy during World Was II. He married Rosetta Eickstadt in Tekamah and the couple moved to Bemidji, Minn. He worked for Nordheim Roofing until he moved to Omaha in 1973,

During his retirement, he moved to Blair but returned to Minnesota in 1991.

Mr. Jones enjoyed fishing and spent many hours on the Missouri River.

Survivors are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald and Charlene Jones of Wilton, Minn. and Frank Jones, Jr.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one brother, Bill Jones of Aurora, S.D.; sisters Gladys Beach of Denver, Colo., Elsie Moore of Blair, Lenora Hake of Lebanon, Mo., Lenora Schradt of Omaha, and Sure Stricklett of Fremont.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosetta, a daughter, Ronda and two brothers, James Jones and David Jones.

The Cease Family Home of Bemidji, Minn., was in charge of the arrangements.
