Funeral services were held at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Iowa on Wednesday, March 9, for Frieda F, Jones, 85, of Little Sioux, Iowa, who passed away on Monday, March 7 in Elmwood Nursing Home in Onawa, where she had been a resident since February 1987, She was the mother of Mrs. Kenneth (Karen) Lantz of Fort Calhoun.

Frieda Bielenburg was born in Germany on January 5, 1903 and lived there until 1908. She was married to David A. Jones on September 22, 1925 and they lived in rural Pisgah until they moved to the Little Sioux area in 1939. Her husband died in December of 1972.

Her parents, husband, one son, Melvin, and three sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons, A. Donald of Sioux City; Lloyd of Annadale, Virginia; Loren of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; and Eldon of Lincoln, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Frances) Wannemaker of Omaha; Mrs. Nina Burns of Little Sioux; and Mrs. Kenneth (Karen) Lantz of Fort Calhoun; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Rev. Leon Wallace officiated at the funeral, and burial was made in Little Sioux, Iowa.
