Services for Gene Jones, 55, who died December 11, 1995 of leukemia, were held December 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver, Washington.

Gene Jones was born April 27, 1940 to Inquert and Kathryn Jones in Blair. He attended Blair Schools.

He was a meat cutter for Safeway Stores, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hazzard Jones, formerly of Blair; five daughters and one son; four brothers, Leo of Camas, Washington; Jim of Des Moines, Iowa; Bill of Papillion, Nebraska and Ron of Grand Island, Nebraska; two sisters, Better Mercier and Phyllis Williams, both of Omaha; his mother-in-law, Marge Van Horn of Vancouver and 14 grandchildren.
