Charley Frank Goettsch was born September 1, 1883, at Hooper, Nebraska. He was the son of John and Annia Goettsch.

On January 6, 1915, he married Frieda Biermann at Arlington. Together, they farmed in Washington County. Mr. Goettsch lived his entire life in this community.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda, one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Gladys) Mayer of Fremont and one sister, Anna Wiedensall of Yutan. Five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
