Funeral services are today, Thursday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Blair for Herbert Jones, Jr., 45, of Blair who died April 6, 1982, at his home.

Rev. Gordon Patterson is conducting the services. Cremation will follow the services at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Herbert Jones, Jr., was born June 23, 1936, in Omaha to Herbert and Margy Wilderson Jones, Sr. He attended elementary school at DeSoto and graduated from Blair High School in 1954. He joined the United States Air Force on February 11, 1955, and served his country with the Air Force until December 14, 1958.

He married Joan Siegler in Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 14, 1959. He was a supervisor at Western Electric.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; and three children, Herbert Jones, III, Kevin Jones and Debra Jones, all of Blair. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jones, Sr., Blair; and one brother, Ronald Jones of Fort Calhoun also survive him.

Pallbearers are Richard Siegler, Malvin Lenhart, Dean Wulf, Darol Donaldson, Richard Stork, and John Andreasen, Jr.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
