Funeral Services for Maudie E. Jones of rural Fort Calhoun will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Carl F. Schattauer Jr. and Rev. Kurt Sortland will officiate. Organist and vocalist will be Claire Cowing.

Maudie E. Jones, 65, was born to W.B. Claude and Listie (Smith) Kephart in Pacific Junction, Iowa. She attended school in Pacific Junction and Council Bluffs, and married Wallace Jones Dec. 21, 1939 in Sidney, Iowa. Wallace survives. Maudie was a homemaker and enjoyed painting and music.

Other survivors are daughters Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Stork of Blair of Blair and Mrs. David (Susan) Barker of Fort Calhoun, son Wallace Russ Jones of Fort Calhoun, four grandchildren, sisters Fern Aaberg of Blair, Leona Plambeck of Millard, and Lucille Allen of Tennessee, and brothers Elvin Kephart of Council Bluffs, Ross Kephart of Treynor, Iowa and Gene Kephart of Council Bluffs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Claudie, and Melvin Kephart, and one sister Madge Stacy.

Pallbearers are Philip, Gaylan and Harold Kephart, Norman Hineline, Vernon Stacy, Dale and Ron Jones and Rodger Johnson. Burial will be at the Blair Cemetery.
