Funeral services will be 10a.m. Wednesday, August 15 at the R.L.D.S. Church in Missouri Valley for Maxine Jones, 75, who died August 12, 1990 at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley after a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Oakgrove Cemetery near Missouri Valley.

Maxine Jones was born September 19, 1914 in Woodbine, Iowa to Burt and Edith Lauridsen Harris. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School.

She married Lyle Jones. He preceded her in death in 1987.

She was a homemaker and secretary to the Missouri Valley, Iowa, City Clerk until her retirement.

She was a past president of the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Missouri Valley.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Jones of Council Bluffs; a brother, Voyne Harris of Blair; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
