Funeral services are Monday, October 20, at First Methodist Church in Blair for Paul Geddes Jones, who died in Blair Hospital October 17, 1980 after a brief illness. Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the services. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery, Kennard.

Paul Geddes Jones was born April 2, 1895, the youngest of eight children, to Melanchthon B. and Phoebe Jane Jones near Reserve, Kansas. He attended schools in Brown County, Kansas, and Falls City, Nebraska. On October 20, 1920, he was married to Leona S. Jensen of Washington County, Nebraska. After farming near Reserve, Kansas where their three children were born, Mr. and Mrs. Jones moved to a farm southwest of Kennard in 1925 where they lived for 44 years. In 1969, Mr. Jones retired from farming and moved to Blair. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by his widow, Leona; three children, Keith, an engineer of Napa, California, Dr. Mary Jean Nelson, professor at Colorado State University, and Mrs. Basil C. Wehrman, Darien, Connecticut; a brother, Glen M. Jones, Reserve, Kansas; and seven grandchildren, Lise and Laurence Nelson of Colorado, James Nelson of Michigan, Basil C. Wehrman III of Lincoln, Mrs. Karla Wehrman Dierking of Omaha, Mrs. Jeanne Jones Kinney of Oregon and Keith M. Jones of California. Music is provided by Mrs. Eugene Flynn and Lise Nelson.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
