Opal Golden, 75

Services for Opal Golden, 75, of Blair, who died November 30, 1993, at Blair are Thursday, December 2, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Opal B. Golden was born on February 12, 1918, at Blair, Nebraska, to Jesse and Martha Salsbury Golden. He attended North School in Blair and later moved to Tekamah with his parents and attended Tekamah Schools.

On April 10, 1938, he married Mildred McMichael at Logan, Iowa.

He farmed in the Tekamah area and west of Herman prior to moving to Blair in 1963, where he was employed with Jebco for 10 years. He went to work for Blair Manufacturing as a welder and for the past 10 years had been a night watchman for Blair Manufacturing. Opal was a member of the Herman Masonic Lodge No. 22, and was Master of the Lodge in 1976. He also was member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry; one brother, Odie and one sister, Maude Bowden.

He is survived in death by his wife, Mildred; two children, Janice (Mrs. Les) Miller and Richard Golden, both of Blair; five grandchildren, Lisa Delaney, Jeffrey Miller, Keri Golden, Angie Golden and Brent Golden; five great-grandsons, Matthew Delaney, Brian Miller, Jamie Miller, Jacob Delaney and Joshua Delaney and one brother, Howard Golden of Tekamah.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
