George Eliassen, who for the past forty years has followed the trade of painter in Blair, died suddenly of a complication of heart trouble and appendicitis on June 27.

He had gone to Rockford, Illinois to visit a daughter and suffered an attack of appendicitis. He was operated on and it is reported that a complication of heart trouble set in which caused his death.

His wife passed away years ago leaving a family of eight children who survive him. They are Mrs. Albert Johnson, Rockford, Illinois; George of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Charles of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. John Anderson and Mrs. Harold Taylor of Blair; Francis of Los Angeles and James and Bessie of Blair.

The body was brought to Blair and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Campbells Mortuary with Rev. Rasmussen officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
