J. Clark Gollehon, 87

Funeral services will be at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel on Wednesday January 17, at 10 a.m. with the Masonic Lancaster Lodge No. 54, AF & AM conducting the services for J. Clark Gollehon, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska, on January 13, 1990. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Nebraska.

He was a resident of Crowell Memorial Home.

J. Clark Gollehon was born to James Marvin and Bertha Peck Gollehon on March 12, 1902, in rural Blair. He attended Pleasant View and Mattes Dist. No. 41 schools. He entered the Army and spent three years in Germany.

After returning, he farmed in rural Washington County with Grant Allen. He attended University of Nebraska and was a graduate of the College of Agriculture with an engineering degree.

He served in the United States Department of Agriculture as a Soil Conservationist for about 36 years. He worked in Arizona, Washington, Utah and several locations in Nebraska. He spent his last two years in Thailand as an agricultural engineer.

He was a 50 year member of the Masons and was an avid genealogy researcher.

He married Evelyn Nelson in 1931 in Blair. She died in 1980.

He is survived by two brothers, Marvin of Duncan, Oklahoma and Eugene of Yuma, Arizona; and one sister Georgiana Gaines of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
