Dorothy Goodwin, 85

Funeral services for Dorothy Goodwin, 85, of Blair, were held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment was in the Magnolia (Iowa) Cemetery. Mrs. Goodwin died Monday, Dec. 18, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Dorothy Goodwin was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Magnolia, Iowa, to William and Anna (Herman) Steffan. She was baptized as an infant at Evangelical Church in Magnolia, and was a member of that church; alter known as the Methodist Church.

On Feb. 19, 1935, she married Lester Goodwin.

Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the United Methodist Church in Blair, United Methodist Women, and the Blair Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Richard Goodwin of Blair, son and daughter-in-law, William and Linda Goodwin of Council Bluffs, Iowa, daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard Schievert of Norfolk, Neb., four grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vivian Olsen of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church.

Campbell Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
