| Funeral services for Lester S. Goodwin, 86, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Burial will be 1:30 p.m., in the Magnolia, Iowa, cemetery. He died at the Blair Hospital on Saturday, May 13, 1989.
Lester Goodwin was born on September 8, 1902, at Loveland, Iowa, to Ren and Carrie Smith Goodwin. He attended high school at Logan, Iowa.
In 1935, he married Dorothy Steffan at Council Bluffs, Iowa. For many years he was employed with Nebraska-Iowa Supply in the sales department and later with the Washington County Motors.
Lester is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Richard of Blair, son and daughter-in-law William and Linda Goodwin of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard Schlievert, Norfolk, Nebraska, and one sister, Vivian Olsen of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Lester was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
