Inez G. Goreham, 74

Former Blair resident Inez G. Goreham, 74, of Fremont, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services were Monday, April 17, at Mose Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Inez G. Sheets was born Nov. 11, 1931, in rural Blair to Will and Mabel (Lund) Sheets Sr. She grew up in the Blair area and was a 1948 graduate of Blair High School. She moved to Fremont in 1949.

On April 9, 1950, she married Leo Goreham at Blair.

Mrs. Goreham worked at the former Swanson Foods and at Babendure Produce in Fremont.

Mrs. Goreham’s hobby was bowling. She was a former member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC); for 25 years, she served as secretary/treasurer of the Monday Maids Bowling League; and she bowled in numerous other leagues. She was inducted into the Fremont Bowling Hall of Fame, and also shared her love of the sport with others, coaching the Fremont Junior Bowling Leagues for 10 years.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Debbie Goreham of Fremont and Larry and Winona Goreham of Beemer; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Wallace Jr. of Ames; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Mildred Sheets of Fremont, Milford and Ramona Sheets of Versailles, Mo., Wilford and Darlene Sheets of Cedar Bluffs, and Leroy and Alice Sheets of Central City; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Xona Groves of Blair, Iona Goreham of Fremont, Loretta and Kenneth Kleckner of North Bend and Dorena and Robert Dalton of West Monroe, La.; 10 grandchildren and their families; two great-grandchildren.
