Mrs. M. D. Eliassen Gone

The sad news reached Blair on Monday that Mrs. M. D. Eliassen for many years a resident of the city had passed away unexpectedly in Waterloo, Nebr. where she was visiting friends.

Mrs. Eliassen was born in Norrup, Jutland, in 1849, where she resided until womanhood, and where she was married. She and her husband and family coming to this country over thirty years ago and directly to Blair where she has since resided.

She had not been feeling well for some time, but of late was somewhat improved and thought she was able to make the trip to Waterloo, which however, proved too great a strain for her and she was taken with pneumonia of which she died.

Her son, George, made the trip to Waterloo, and made the necessary arrangements for having the body brought to this city where the funeral services were held and the body interred in the Blair Cemetery.
