Maxine M. Bragg, 81

Herman native Maxine M. Bragg, 81, of Tekamah, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Memorial Community Hospital.

Private family graveside services were held Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Blair Cemetery.

Maxine Marjorie Bragg was born April 18, 1923, in Herman to Peter and Emma (Janssen) Miller. She was a graduate of Herman High School.

She was married to Clyde Bragg, who preceded her in death in 1969.

Mrs. Bragg was a clerk at the Blue Goose for 15 years, and a house mother at Dana College.

She had lived in Plattsmouth, Blair, in Wisconsin and in Council Bluffs, Iowa, prior to moving to Tekamah.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tekamah, the Herman American Legion Auxiliary, and the Magnolia Rebekah Lodge in Tekamah.

She is survived by a son and daughters-in-law, Leon and Donna Bragg of Kenosha, Wis., and Mary Ann Bragg of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola West of Blair, and niece, Mary Marsh, also of Blair.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas, and six brothers and sisters.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Tekamah, The Center in Council Bluffs, or the donor’s choice.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
