Paul J. Grosserode, 67

Services were Monday, September 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lincoln for Paul J. Grosserode, 67, who died September 5, 1991, of cancer. Monsignor Thomas Holoman officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Lincoln.

Paul J. Grosserode became owner of the Washington County Cattle Co. in Blair in 1978. He was a former partner in the Grosserode Cattle Co. in Milford, Nebraska.

He was an Army airplane gunner during World War II.

He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and taught vocational agriculture at Neligh, Nebraska. He had also worked as Purina Feeds sales manager in northeast Nebraska for 19 years before joining the Grosserode Company.

Among his numerous community activities, he was a volunteer at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Lincoln; sons, David and Tom, both of Omaha and John of Lincoln; daughter, Joanne Bennett and Jane Loken, both of Lincoln; brothers, Steve of Lincoln and James of New Braunfels, Texas; sisters, Mary Brucker of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Frances Petersen of Edina, Minnesota, and 14 grandchildren.

Butherus-Maser & Love Mortuary in Lincoln was in charge of arrangements.
