Ellenberger - Joy Plorin, of Fort Calhoun, NE, passed away Feb. 24th surrounded by loved ones. Joy was born March 2nd, 1919, in Omaha where she matured and graduated from North High School in 1937. She was a long time employee of Northwestern Bell. After retirement she and husband, Herbert, moved to Phoenix, AZ. She returned to the Omaha area last year to be closer to family.

She is preceded in death by husband, Herb, of 58 years; parents, Zoe Cook and George Plorin; sister Carol, Jewell Stessman wife of grandson, Eric Stessman.

Joy is survived by children Carol (Dean) Gustafson of Overland Park, KS, Tom (Betty) Ellenberger of Blair, and Connie (Jim) Harrahill of Omaha. Joy also leaves her loving friend, Bob Fisk, Fort Calhoun; sister-in-law, Mildred Schoening of Omaha; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Joyce) Ellenberger of Pleasanton, CA; cousins Pat (Chuck) Leitch, and Bob Weist; other nieces, nephews and friends. She dearly loved her 8 grandchildren and her 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
