Anita M. Lauritsen, 89

Anita M. Lauritsen, 89, of Blair, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Carter House in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 1 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Paul Hansen of Logan, Iowa, Barbara and Frank Sievers of Ponca, Dianna and Ken Olson of Kennard, and Linda and Lonnie Elliott of Tekamah; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Elmer Wesemann of Blair.

Anita M. Lauritsen, 89, of Blair, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Carter House in Blair.

Services were Saturday, July 7, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Anita Maria Wesemann was born September 17, 1922, on the family farm south of Kennard to Henry and Anna (Mueller) Wesemann.

She was united in marriage to George H. Lauritsen on June 27, 1941, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. They celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Anita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She worked along with her husband on the farm and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, quilting, and dancing.

She was an active member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and a volunteer for the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Paul Hansen of Logan, Iowa, Barbara and Frank Sievers of Ponca, Dianna and Ken Olson of Kennard, and Linda and Lonnie Elliott of Tekamah; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah and Tony Toby, Rachel and Scott Snyder, Beth and Brennen Beavers, Lisa Sievers-Madsen and Mark Madsen, Ellen and Paul Gant, Scott Sievers and fiancée, Trishia Martinez, Sherri and Tim Mitchell, David and Carly Olson, and Brian and Laurie Elliott: 12 great-grandchildren, Cole Snyder, Keegan Snyder, Sydney Beavers, Charlie Beavers, Mark Gant, Garrett Gant, Anita Gant, Brinkley Tackett, Grant Sievers, Ella Mitchell, Trenton Elliott and Cody Elliott; and brother, Elmer Wesemann of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; granddaughter, Jennifer Elliott; brothers, John, Louie, Bill, Albert, Henry, Herman, and Melvin and sisters Ella, Rose, Cecelia, Alvina and Wanda.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
