Patricia "P.J." McNally, 84

Patricia J. "P.J." McNally, 84, formerly of Blair, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in Spokane, Wash.

Services will be Saturday, July 7, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. A vigil will be 7 p.m. on Friday, July 6, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.

Patricia Joyce "P.J" Servoss was born on April 18, 1928, to Harold and Marie Servoss in Denison, Iowa.

The family moved to Blair and she graduated in 1944 from Blair High School.

She graduated from St. Catherine's Nursing School, an affiliate of Creighton University in Omaha, in 1948.

The family moved to Bonners Ferry where she began her nursing career.

She married Harold McNally. When he died in 1965, she raised her children alone with the help of extended family and friends.

She tried to help where she was needed. In 1980, the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi named her Woman of the Year.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry where she served on the Altar Society and sang in the choir.

She was also a member of the local hospital auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagle's Auxiliary and the American Cancer Society. She volunteered for the March of Dimes, blood drives and worked at the polls during elections. Among other volunteer activities, she set and styled hair at the restorium.

She enjoyed walking, bicycling, golfing and bridge. Other interests were music, reading, having coffee with friends, and sharing a good joke or story. She received great joy and comfort from daily prayer.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kathy and John Curtis, Kevin and Vicki McNally, Margaret and Robert Ruotsalainen, Patti and Rich Ochsner, Steve and Patti McNally and Keith and Lill McNally; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Reynolds; sister-in-law, Joyce Truesdell; cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; brother-in-laws, Cyril and Harold McNally; sister, Clalien Carper; and brother, Dee Servoss.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice or the Ambulance Association in Bonners Ferry.
