Chris Nelsen Dead, Age 70

Native Herman Man Dies Here; Funeral Services Held On Monday

Chris W. Nelsen, 69, of Blair, a native of Herman, died Friday at the Leptien Nursing Home in Omaha. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bendorf Funeral Home, with the Rev. H. C. Jorgensen of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial followed in Thone Cemetery.

Chris Wilhelm Nelsen was born at Herman May 25, 1885; the son of Niels Nielson and Anna Brodersen. He spent 12 years of his life at Plentywood, Mont., also at Tekamah later before coming to Blair.

He is survived by a brother, Herman Nelsen of Longview, Wash., and two sisters, Mrs. Fred R. Hansen (Clara) of Blair and Mrs. Frances Christiansen of Tekamah.
