Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Hermann were in Carroll, Ia., last week attending the funeral of Mrs. Hermann’s father, John Neuenberg, whose death occurred Saturday, July 20th.

The funeral was held on Tuesday and all but three of the children were present at the last sad rites of the dead.

Mr. Neuenberg was in his 82nd year and since the death of his wife in February of last year, has found little to keep him in the land of the living. He leaves property valued at about $8,000 and Mrs. Hermann is one of the eight heirs to the same.
