DAVID LACEY, 53, 3/2/44/- 4/5/97

David A. “Art” Lacey, 53, died at his Fremont home Saturday, April 5, 1997, as a result of complications of cancer.

A memorial service, conducted by the Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15 AF & AM will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. It is open to the public.

Lacey was born March 2, 1944 in Fremont where he lived most of his life. He worked for the Fremont City Street Department until becoming disabled through illness in 1994. He had previously worked for Arps Redi-Mix and Paden Construction and had owned the Highlander Coin-operated Laundry. On Dec. 1, 1993, at St. Thomas, The Virgin Islands, he married Joyce “Marie” Fritz.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont; the Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15 AF & AM; Arbor Vitae Chapter No. 92, Order of Eastern Star and was a member and past president of the Breakfast Optimist Club.

Survivors are his wife, Marie; sons and daughter-in-law, Vince and Kelly Andreasen of Omaha and Jason Andreasen of Ft. Carson, Colo.; daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Roger Thompson, Alma, Nebr.; and Erin Kubel, Fremont; his father, Ivan Lacey, Concorde, Calif.; his mother, Marie Hammond of Fremont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Doni Lacey, Longmont, Colo.; Dan Hammond, Fremont and Terry and Peg Hammond, Ames, Nebr.; one sister, Patsy Lacey, Fremont and seven grandchildren.
