Brother Of Arlington Man Died In Iowa

Joe Purcell, of Woodbine, Iowa, passed away on Oct. 24th, one day before his 89th birthday.

He was a pioneer farmer of Harrison County, Iowa, having farmed there all his life and spending the last few years in Woodbine, Iowa.

He was active until the last few weeks, enjoying his flowers and garden. He passed away at the hospital in Harlan, Iowa, following a stroke.

His wife, Oma, and one son, Wallace, preceded him in death, also his parents and 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 daughters and one son, one sister, Mrs. Lee Leagrue of Woodbine and one brother, Howard Purcell of Arlington, Nebr.

Funeral was Tuesday at Woodbine.
