Mrs. John Sas Dies In California

Former Resident Of Blair Passed Away At Long Beach, July 21

Mrs. John W. Sas, long-time resident of Blair, passed away Saturday evening, July 21, at the home of her son at Long Beach, California.

Mrs. Sas is the daughter of the late G. G. Lundt and the wife of John W. Sas, who passed away nine years ago. Mr. Sas was one of the original Sas brothers, who operated the Sas Bros. Store in Blair.

She is survived by a son, Rudolph G.; one sister, Mrs. George H. Kellogg of North Platte, three brothers, G. W. Lundt of Pearl Harbor; B. F. Lundt and T. H. Lundt of Blair; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Campbell Mortuary at 3:00 this afternoon with the Rev. H. C. Frese officiating. Interment will be made at the Blair Cemetery.

MRS. JOHN W. SAS IS DEATH VICTIM

Word reached The Enterprise Wednesday that Mrs. John W. Sas had passed away at the home of her son, Rudolph G. Sas, at Long Beach, California.

Mrs. Sas was born in Blair in 1873, the daughter of G. G. Lundt. She grew to womanhood in Blair, and received her education in the Blair Schools. She was married to John W. Sas, at that time a partner in the Sas Brothers firm. One son, Rudolph G., was born to them.

After leaving Blair, the family went to Winner, South Dakota where the husband was in business, and later to Pender, where the husband died about nine years ago.

Besides the son, Mrs. Sas is survived by two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George H. Kellogg of North Platte; and three brothers, G. W. of Pearl Harbor and B. F. and T. H. of Blair.

The remains were brought to Blair and funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at three o’clock from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. H. C. Juul Frese officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
