Mrs. J. G. Smith received word Sunday that her nephew, Lon Smith, who clerked at Stockton’s store for a number of years, was killed last Friday while braking on the railroad. No particulars have been received up to yesterday morning. He was married and had one little boy. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Smith, live over at Whiting, Iowa.
