Lucile Smith, 92

Lucile Smith, 92, of Blair, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Lucile Smith was born May 22, 1911, in Washington County to Frank and Frieda (Petersen) Jensen. She attended school in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1929.

She married Dutch Smith in 1930; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Smith worked for Duffy’s Market, and for Dr. Ehlers for more than 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Past Sunday School Superintendent, Royal Neighbors, was very active in the Democratic party, was an avid bridge player, baseball fan and Husker fan.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Skip Anderson of Fremont; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Jensen of Blair.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Bud Jensen.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church.
