DARRELL LADWIG, 44, DIED SUDDENLY LAST SATURDAY

Darrell Ladwig, 44 year old Blair man, died suddenly at his home at 1454 Nebraska St. last Saturday morning. The Blair Rescue Squad was summoned to take him to Memorial Community Hospital but it was not possible to save him.

Meredith Darrell Ladwig was born at Blair July 14th, 1922, the son of Herman and Kathryn Ladwig. He grew up in Blair and became a machinist by trade. He was employed by the Kelly Ryan Company of Blair.

He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Both of the organizations will have part in the graveside services.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; his father, Herman Ladwig and by a sister Katherine Winslow of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and a brother Norman Louis Ladwig, of Vernon, Texas. The couple had no children.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9th at the Assembly of God church at 2:00 o’clock. The Rev. M. Anderson will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers are John Hart, Clarence Sheets, Carroll Frye, Cecil Kephart, Alvin Bauer and Kenneth Brechbill.
