Dorothy Z. Ellerman, 73, of Fremont, died Dec. 25, 2004, in the A. J. Merrick Manor.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Interment will be in Fremont's Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and will continue on Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church.

Dorothy Z. Ellerman was born May 24, 1931, in Glen Rose, Texas, to James and Ora (Ford) Relfe. She grew up in Brownwood, Texas, and came to Nebraska in the early 1960s. She lived in Blair for a year, then moved to Fremont.

On April 17, 1970, she married Vern Ellerman in Blair.

Mrs. Ellerman worked for several of Fremont's restaurants and, for the last few years, had been working on the switchboard at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont.

The Ellermans were members of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ellerman is survived by her husband, Vern; daughter and son-in-law, Flo and Ed Kovar of Fremont; three granchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Lee Adamson of Canyon Lake, Texas; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Joanne and Don Berg of Scribner, Donna Kruger of Fremont, and Jannine and Ralph Wagner, also of Scibner; brother-in-law, Warren Ellerman of Arizona; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, J. D. Relfe and Jesse Relfe.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church and the American Cancer Society.
