Leo Wachter, 69

Funeral services for Leo J. Wachter, 69, were held at the Werness Brother’s Chapel, February 29, 1988, in Edina, Minnesota. Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery.

Leo was born March 5, 1919, in Herman to Bernard and Ethel Wachter. He died February 23, 1988, in Tucson, Arizona, after a lengthy illness.

Leo was Captain in the 6th Armored Division of the US Army and was a graduate of Herman High School and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

He was vice president of Northern States Power Company, and a member of Landmark Lodge 222 of Herman.

Survivors include his wife Mary, sons John and Michael Wachter of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and son Richard and daughter-in-law Madeline; and grandchildren Brenda, Adam and Kevin of Tucson.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Roland, Kenneth and James.
