Marian C. Wager, 93 of Altamonte Springs, Fla. and formerly of Arlington, died Saturday, July 26, 1997 at the Florida Living Nursing Center in Apopka, Fla. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. Lee J. Milligan is officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Wager was born Feb. 29, 1904 in Fremont to Douglas and Myrtle (Green) Edwards. She grew up and lived in Arlington until moving to Florida in 1980. She had worked as a chief telephone operator for the former Hunt Phone Co. at Arlington. She married Vernon G. Wager in 1939.

She had been a member of the former first Methodist church in Arlington.

Survivors are a son, Robert Wager of Altamonte Springs; a sister, Elizabeth C. Reynolds of Seattle, Wash.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon, on March 26, 1967; and a brother, Earl Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Leon Sperling, Fred Heuerman, Paul Menking and Gary Auch Moedy.

Memorials may be given to Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 52 A. F. & A. M. of Arlington.
