Ray Therkelsen, 74

Services for Ray Therkelsen, age 74 of rural Blair, who died at his home March 24, 1993, after suffering an apparent heart attack, were Saturday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with military services in the Blair Cemetery.

Ray F. Therkelsen was born January 17, 1919, northwest of Blair to Raymond and Martha Muller Therkelsen. He attended school in rural Blair.

He served in the Army during World War II, serving from 1942-1945.

He farmed northwest of Blair his entire life and had also been in the seed corn business for many years.

He was a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles, Blair American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Howard and Ted Therkelsen.

Surviving him in death are a sister, Arlene Morgan, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Therkelsen and Maxine Therkelsen, both of Blair; five nephews and nieces, and 14 great-nephews and great-nieces.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
