Frances R. Magill, 78, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Blair.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday July 16, 2012, at Country Bible Church in Blair. There will be no visitation.

Frances Ruth Lake was born September 27, 1933, in Grand Island, to Albert and Goldie (Grothe) Lake.

She grew up in Blair until she was 13 and moved to Sandy, Ore. She graduated from Sandy Union High School in 1952.

She then returned to Blair to take care of her failing father.

On April 1, 1954, she married Henry E. Miller in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was in the school PTA and helped with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts for several years.

She also worked at Crowell Home and as a CSM at Good Shepherd in Blair. In 1982, Mr. Miller died after a heart attack.

In 1984, she married Raymond Magill and moved to the farm at Herman. She helped with the crops and hog raising.

The Magills loved to travel and take camping trips.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Magill; sons and their spouses, Henry E. Miller Jr. and Beate and Jerry and Renae Magill; daughters and their spouses, Julie Luikens, Patricia and Dan Burdess, Linda and Roger Hanneman and Karen Mann; daughter-in-law, Dee Magill; sister, Dorothy Helmuth of Baldwin Park, Calif., 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Miller; son, Bill Magill; brothers, Raymond Lake, Edwin Woody and Henry Woody.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
