#2-Arlington Rev. Herald 23 March 1933

Frank Henry Toebben was born May 1, 1880, at the old Toebben home located east of Fontanelle, Nebraska.

When 23 years old, he went to California to engage mining, until he was called to serve in the army during the World War, serving overseas in France. After the war he returned to Nebraska, and soon after went again to California. Since the last of July he was a patient in the National Military Hospital in Los Angeles where he died March 16th.

Funeral services, at which quite a number of former war comrades took part, were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the home of his brother, Henry Toebben, and at 2:00 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. One hundred seventy were present at the services in spite of the snow drifted roads. Rev. G. W. Wolter officiated and Prof. and Mrs. Schnankenberg sang both at the home and at the church.

Mr. Toebben’s age was 43 years, 10 months, and 13 days. He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, one sister-in-law, and other relatives and friends.
