I.H. Warrick

Funeral services will be held for I. H. Warrick of Sidney, Neb. this (Thursday) afternoon, July 14, at two o’clock from the Bendorf Funeral Home.

The deceased passed away at his home Monday morning, July 11, at the age of 57 years following a long illness. He is a brother of Neum Warrick, north of town, and of Mrs. Nora Compton of the Bench. Other sisters are Mrs. Rachel Dixon of Arlington, Mrs. Elizabeth Dixon of Lincoln, and Mrs. Esther Obermeyer of Boise, Iowa. He is survived by his wife. There were no children.

Interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.

I. H. Warrick Dies

After Long Illness Former Resident Had Farmed Near Sidney 17 Years

I. H. "Zade' Warrick, a brother of Neum Warrick and Mrs. John Compton of Blair, died at his home near Sidney, Nebraska, Monday, July 11, after a long illness, local relatives were informed by wire later in the day. He was 57 years old at the time of his death and had been in ill health for several years, although not bedfast during that period Prior to his death, however, he had been confined to bed for about four weeks.

Born near Blair, Mr. Warrick grew to manhood in this vicinity. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Warrick, prominent pioneers and throughout his young manhood he acquired a comprehensive knowledge of farming and stock raising, which he put to practical use throughout his life, farming being his occupation until the time of his death.

Mr. Warrick was married in 1899 to Miss Zena Mehrens of Blair and from that time until 1915 he farmed both north and west of Blair. With his wife he then moved to western Nebraska locating near Sidney. Mrs. Warrick survives her husband. There were no children born to the couple. Also surviving are one brother, Neum, and four sisters, Mrs. John Compton, Mrs. W. W Dixon of Lincoln, Mrs. S. F. Dixon of Arlington, and Mrs. Esther Overmeyer of Boise, Idaho. Rites were held Thursday afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral home with Rev. W. H. Jackson officiating. Burial was in Blair cemetery
