Alma M. Wortman, 83

Alma M. Wortman, 83, of Creighton died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Lundberg Memorial Hospital.

A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Interment will be in St. Ludger Cemetery.

Alma May Wortman was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Creighton to Roy and Ida (Coe) Mitchell.

She attended Creighton High School.

On Sept. 6, 1941, she married Leonard Wortman at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Brunswick. The couple had four children.

Mrs. Wortman was a member of St. Ludgers Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and St. Ludgers Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Denise Wortman and Warren and Ann Wortman, all of Creighton; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Les Suhr of Blair; eight grandsons; seven great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Janice Warner of Tilden and Helen Nissen of Plainview.

She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Wortman, a brother, and three sisters.
