Kenneth Cameron, 85

Former Blair resident Kenneth Cameron, 85, of Rio Rancho, N.M., died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010.

A private memorial service was held, and his ashes will be interred with full military honors at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.

Kenneth Cameron was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis., to John and Pauline Cameron. He was raised from the age of five by foster parents Harry and Katherine Gabrielson.

He served in the U.S. Navy, active and Reserve, from 1943-1954. He was in sales most of his career as a self-employed manufacturer's representative.

He was a member of H.L. Palmer F&AM, Tripoli Temple and Cudworth American Legion, all of Milwaukee.

He is survived by a daughter, Catherine Cameron of Rio Rancho, son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Elizabeth Cameron of Edina, Minn; two granddaughters; former wife Dorothy Cameron; dear friend Anna Saavedra; and many other friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Timmy Cameron.
