SERVICES FOR 93 YEAR OLD EDWARD LALLMAN ARE HELD

Services for Edward Lallmann, 93, of Fremont were held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Donald E. Levenhagen officiated.

Lallman died Monday, January 1, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County Annex.

He was born March 12, 1885, near Fontanelle, and moved with his family to Grand Junction, Colorado.

After a few years in Grand Junction, they came to Fremont. He was a barber in the Coe Agustus Barber Shop in Fremont, and later owned his own shop in Magil Hotel. He retired from the barber business and sold his shop to Ralph Black.

Lallmann had been an avid blue rock shooter and active in many competitive events. He was a member of the Barbers, Beauticians and Allied Industries International Association.

He became a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in 1914, and on his 90th birthday was made an honorary member of the Engine Company. He also was a life member of the Nebraska State Volunteer Firemen’s Association. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Lallmann married the former Ida Giesselmann of Arlington June 30, 1909, in Grand Junction. She died in October 1970.

Visitation was at Ludvigsen Mortuary. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.
