Carl D. ‘Bruzer’ Tiffey, 38

Carl D. “Bruzer” Tiffey, 38, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Friday, July 13.

Services are 1 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at the Eagles Club in Missouri Valley with the Rev. Hersh Rodasky officiating. Burial will be in Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

Carl Tiffey was born Jan. 21, 1974, in Blair to Tim Flynn and Viola Tiffey.

In October 2011 he started working at Longview Nursing Home.

He was an active member of the Missouri Valley Fire Department and took great pride in it. He was Firefighter of the Year the last two years.

He loved camping and taking trips. His favorite was to South Dakota, because it was with family. He also was an avid Nebraska football fan.

He is survived by his wife, Vonnie Tiffey of Missouri Valley; daughters Ashley and Daysha Fritts of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son Ryan Carlson of Missouri Valley; godchildren Kaydin and Marcus Rodasky of Earling, Iowa; his mother, Viola Jorgensen of Council Bluffs; sister Amy Galvez of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law Carol Mahoney of Missouri Valley and his beloved dogs Ruby, Memphis and Lucky and cat Jewels.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Bill Jorgensen; father-in-law Edwin Mahoney and other family members.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley is in charge of arrangements.
