DONNA JEAN LALLMAN, 81

Donna Jean Lallman, 81, of rural Hooper, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery.

Donna Jean Ellison was born Aug. 6, 1927, in Ceresco, to Donald “Curley” and Laura (Ptacek) Ellison. She grew up in the Wahoo area, where she received her elementary education. Later, she graduated from Fremont High School, and attended Midland College for two years.

On January 16, 1948, she married Vernon Lallman in Fremont.

They lived in Washington County for six years, then moved to a farm northwest of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church area, northwest of Fremont.

Mrs. Lallman was a member of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church and its Naomi Circle.

She had served on the election board for several years, and had cooked for the District 88 school for six years. She was a member of the Friday Ladies Club.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Nadine Lallman of Omaha and Tom and Robin Lallman of Hooper; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ginny Ellison of Broken Bow; sister, Judy Heller of Lincoln; four special friends from the Friday Ladies Club.

She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kathy; and a sister, Betty Reese.

Memorials are suggested to the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church.
