MRS. EVERETT LAMB DIES SUNDAY NIGHT

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FROM BAPTIST CHURCH ON TUESDAY

This community was shocked by the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Everett Lamb which occurred at an Omaha hospital late last Sunday evening. Mrs. Lamb had been confined to the hospital for about a month and was reported to be improving up until shortly before her death.

The deceased as Miss Marie Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Petersen of Kansas City, Kansas, was born in Argentine, Kansas, December 4, 1909. Most of her life was spent in Kansas where she was held in high esteem. During the summer of 1927 while with her parents in Blair, her father at the time having the contract for some improvements at the city light plant, she became acquainted with Everett Lamb and this meeting was the beginning of a courtship which culminated in a happy marriage on September 28, 1929. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Kansas City in 1924. During her short stay in Blair she made many friends all of whom extend the deepest sympathy to the bereaved husband and relatives.

Surviving her besides her husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Petersen of Kansas City, Kans.; five sisters, Mrs. A.R. Hovey and the Misses Emma, Louise and Dora, all of Kansas City, and Mrs. I.W. Andersen of Lyons; and two brothers, Earl and Marshall Petersen of Kansas City.

Funeral services were conducted from the Blair Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, the Rev. L.J. Moran officiating, after which interment was in the Blair Cemetery.
