ADELINE H. LAMBRECHT, 89

Adeline H. Lambrecht, 89, of Blair, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 2, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment was at Blair Cemetery.

Adeline H. Lambrecht was born on April 28, 1911, to John and Lena Dall, on her parent’s farm in Douglas County. She attended grade school at Greene School in southern Washington County.

After working as a maid for several years, she married Ben Lambrecht Feb. 16, 1935. They moved to their farm south of Blair and adopted two children, a son, Roger, and a daughter, Linda. Mrs. Lambrecht worked very hard helping raise chickens and delivering eggs door-to-door in Omaha.

In 1971, they moved to Fremont, where Mrs. Lambrecht was a cook at both the junior and senior high schools. Some of her grandchildren’s fondest memories are staying with Grandma and Grandpa and playing pool and cards.

In 1992, they moved to an apartment in Blair. She spent most of her time caring for her husband, but always had time for her neighbors. For the past five and a half years, Mrs. Lambrecht was at Crowell Memorial Home and the Carter House in Blair. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Lambrecht was an avid bowler, bingo and card player. She was a long-time member of the Wranch Maney Extension Club and a member of the Greene Valley Card Club, as her mother had been. She loved visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Roger, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Larsen, seven grandchildren and their families; a sister, Irene Frye, and a brother, John Dall, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Lillian Lambrecht, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Ben, her husband of 60 years; her brothers, Hans, Tom and Ted; sisters, Alma, Marie, Irma and Ella, and a baby sister.

Memorials are suggested to Crowell Memorial Home or to First Lutheran Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
