Services Held Saturday For Mrs. Grothe

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13th for Alice Nancy Grothe who died April 10th at the age of 59 years. Mrs. Grothe grew up in the Herman area, attending school in Herman and Blair. The complete obituary of Mrs. Grothe appeared in the April 15th issue of the Pilot-Tribune.

Alice N. Grothe Died At Tekamah Last Wednesday

Alice N. Grothe, a resident of Tekamah but a native of the Herman area, died at Tekamah last Wednesday, April 10th. She was rushed to the Blair Hospital at the moment of her last illness, but was dead on arrival at the hospital.

Mrs. Grothe was a widow, her husband having been the late Dale Grothe.

She was born at Herman, Nebraska, July 6, 1914, and was 59 years of age.

She is survived by three children and five grandchildren. Mrs. Robert Rasmussen (Charlotte) of Herman is a daughter. There are two sons: Jim Grothe of Tekamah and Charles Grothe, also of Tekamah.

Clifford West, of Herman and Woodrow West, of Blair and Kenneth West of Hastings are brothers of the deceased woman. Mrs. Stella Sanderson, of San Luis Obispo, California, is a sister.

Funeral services were held at Herman Baptist Church last Saturday morning with the Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Jerry West, Jim West, Glen Green, Jr., Frank, Bob and John Grothe.
