#2 Memories of her great-granddaughter Sue Bigsby on 20 Oct 2022

Clara Belle Parr Springer Thirtle Grothe was my mother's maternal grandmother. After my mother's father passed in 1943, my mother, her sisters and mother (Grace Sublett) moved in with Clara Belle Thirtle. Mr. Thirtle was head grower for Eder Florist in Omaha and they lived in a beautiful large home across the street from the greenhouses at 28th & Bristol in Omaha. My mother's mother had never worked outside the home but found she had great talent arranging flowers and was employed at Eder Florist soon becoming their head flower arranger. My mom and dad were married in her grandmother's home on Bristol Street in Omaha in July, 1948.
