Dale Grothe, Of Tekamah, Died Here Tuesday

Dale Elmer Grothe, a native of Washington County, now a resident of the Tekamah area, died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair on Tuesday, December 22nd.

He was born at DeSoto, January 21, 1914, and grew up in the Blair area. He was married to the former Alice West, also of the Blair vicinity.

He is survived by his wife, and by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Rasmussen (Charlotte) of Herman and by two sons, James and Charles Grothe, both of Tekamah.

Three brothers survive. They are Ernest and John, both of Omaha and Oscar, Jr., of Cozad, Nebraska. A sister, Mrs. Glen Green, resides in California.

His father, Oscar Grothe, Sr., lives in Blair. There are five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Herman. The Rev. Zack Kleinsasser will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
