Funeral services for Elaine Ellis, 53, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair October 28, 1989, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 1 at First Lutheran Church with burial in the Blair Cemetery. Rev. James McBride will officiate.

Elaine Ellis was born September 30, 1936, at Osmond, Nebraska to Fred and Ella Kuhl Zobel. She graduated from Norfolk High School in 1954 and attended Wayne State College, graduating in 1962. She taught school in Winnetoon-Creighton area, Norfolk, Omaha and Racine, Wisconsin.

She was married in June, 1964, in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She along with her family, lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she was in the real estate business. They moved to Blair in 1970 where she was co-owner of the B-Line Motel until its sale in October, 1988. She worked part-time for Country Garden Flower Shop prior to her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Gordon Zobel.

She is survived by her two children, Darci and Darin Ellis of Blair; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Bernice Zobel of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews, including Beth and Gerald Timperley of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
