Carlisle O. Gunderson, 88

Carlisle O. Gunderson, 88, of Albert Lea, Minn., died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 19, at Lunder Lutheran Church. Rev. Ken Otterman officiated. Interment was Lunder Lutheran Cemetery.

Carlisle O. Gunderson was born on Dec. 6, 1911, to Alfred and Olga Amanda (Tommeraasen) Gunderson in Freeborn County.

He lived in the Twin Lakes area all his life. On Oct. 15, 1933, he married Alice Noretta Ringstad at the Emmons Lutheran Church.

Mr. Gunderson was a member of Lunder Lutheran Church, served on the Twin Lakes Co-op Store Board, the Twin Lakes Creamery Board, the Lunder Lutheran Church Council, and had been a 4-H leader.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, of St. John’s in Albert Lea; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and David Grande of Mankato, and Gloria and Wally Johnson of Englewood, Colo., Phyllis and Paul Gilbertson of Golden, Colo., Pauline and Bernie O’Neil of Albany, N. Y., and Lenore and Rich Gregory of Altus, Okla.; sons and daughters-in-law, C. Arlen and Betsy Gunderson of Northglenn, Colo., Lowell and Judy Gunderson of Arlington; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Gunderson of Rochester, and Ardell Gunderson of Albert Lea; and sisters, Ruby Rogeness of Chicago, Ill., Norma Tukua and Lillian Grasdalen, both of Albert Lea.

Mr. Gunderson was preceded in death by his brother, Truman, his sister, Sylvia, and a granddaughter, Jennifer.
